In our role play -flower shop- this week we are continuing with money. The children worked together and discussed what things we see in the shop. The children take on the role of the customer, choosing flowers, paying for them, they swat roles and become the shop keeper talking to the customer, giving change for the flowers.
We still need artificial flowers and would be grateful if you have any unwanted plastic, material flowers for us to display and use in our shop.
Today we talked about the letter sound made by 'c', thought of things beginning with 'c'. During the week we will be writing this letter in salt, sand and using felt pens. Please help your child to write this letter and play I SPY games to help develop an awareness of things beginning with this sound.
We have been busy today creating an underwater collage scene. Last week we painted blue background and today we enhanced our painting by adding coloured paper, and materials to represent an underwater scene.
During the week we would like the children to design and create a boat using small size tubs/containers, please can they be brought into school as soon as possible.
